Granny’s Mac & Cheese
The secret's out! My Granny's famous Mac & Cheese is made with only 3 ingredients, and its pure nostalgic comfort in every bite. Prepare for mind-blowing creaminess without the fuss!

Bring water to a boil in a large stockpot (You can salt it lightly but remember, there is a lot of salt being added by the cheese)

Add macaroni, stirring to be sure noodles do not stick together

Cook pasta for 2 minutes, then reducing burner to as small a flame as possible

Scoop out and discard water until there is only 1/2 to 1โ of water over the pasta remaining

Add 1/3 of Velveeta and 1/3 of American to water and stir. Repeat until all the cheese is in the pot.

**CRITICAL STEP!** Stir pot every 5 minutes being sure to use a spatula that can scrape the bottom to remove cheese that settles there. NOTE: If you do not do this step properly it will burn on the bottom and will need to be discarded!

Continue doing this for the next 30-45 minutes while cheese melts and mac thickens. Product is ready to use once you get to the right thickness.

Season with optional black pepper and serve

Stir occasionally to prevent skinning of product if holding over
Quality Note: It is better to cook it to a slightly thinner consistency if you are going to store it for the
next day as it will continue to thicken while cooling and the pasta will stay firm for reheating
